We have been planning Indian and international safaris since 2015, and in that time we have learnt one non-negotiable truth: the quality of the experience lives entirely in the quality of the naturalist. We partner only with certified, locally licensed guides who know specific reserves intimately — the individual tigers, the waterholes lions favour, the exact rocky outcrop where the leopard family sleeps.

For East and Southern Africa, consult your doctor about appropriate anti-malarials 6–8 weeks before departure. DEET-based repellent, long sleeves at dusk, and bed nets are essential.
Camera Settings Before You Enter
Set your camera to burst mode, auto-ISO with a minimum 1/500s shutter speed before the gate. Animals do not wait for you to adjust settings. Keep the lens cap in your pocket.

What is the best park in India for seeing a tiger?+
Ranthambore and Bandhavgarh offer the highest success rates for tiger sightings, especially Oct–March. Ranthambore has more relaxed tigers; Bandhavgarh has the highest density. We recommend 2 nights minimum at each for serious tiger seekers.
When exactly is the wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara?+
The dramatic Mara River crossings typically occur July–October, with August being the most intense month. However, migration is dictated by rain and grass growth. We monitor real-time field reports and time your trip to the crossing, not just the month.
Is safari appropriate for children?+
Many India safaris allow children aged 5+. African reserves vary — some permit children 12+, others 6+. We always clarify age policies per reserve before booking. Children who are quiet and observant have exceptional safari experiences.
What vaccinations do I need beyond yellow fever?+
For East Africa, recommended vaccinations include hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, and rabies (if extended stays). For India-only itineraries, standard traveller vaccinations apply. Always consult a travel medicine clinic 6–8 weeks before departure.
How close do jeeps get to animals?+
Ethical reserve guidelines set minimum distances — typically 5–30 m from large predators. Our guides always respect these boundaries. Getting too close stresses animals and disrupts natural behaviour. The best sightings are patient, respectful ones.
What should I pack for an African safari?+
Neutral colours, lightweight long-sleeved shirts, wide-brimmed hat, high-SPF sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars (8x42 recommended), and a camera with a 400mm+ lens for wildlife. We send a full kit list on booking.
Are solo travellers welcome on safari packages?+
Absolutely. Group departures (6–12 guests per vehicle) are perfect for solo travellers and often lead to lifelong friendships formed in the field. Single-supplement rates apply for private accommodation; shared tent options are available.
